In 1983, after 25 years in the petroleum industry as a tax manager of a major oil company, Dave Brennan founded Brennan Financial Services, a financial firm focused on retirement planning in Dallas.
Dave wanted to build a business that was different from typical financial firms. Most firms had a reputation of only calling when they had something to sell. Brennan Financial Services would instead be built on something more meaningful: a personal relationship between the client and the advisor.
To achieve this goal, Dave began having a yearly review with each client. It was a chance to touch base, discuss their investments, and to make sure that their retirement income and investments were still appropriate for their evolving lives and changing market conditions.
From the beginning, Dave wanted to share his investment expertise and tax-saving strategies with others. This led him to host a radio show, The Financial Talk of the Town, in 1985. Over two decades later, now working with his children Darren Brennan, Debra Brennan Tagg, and Michelle Brennan Hall, Dave launched Smart Money Live with The Brennans. This weekly, call-in TV show was on the air from 2006 to 2007. These radio and television shows demonstrate the passion that Dave has for bringing financial knowledge to the community.
Dave is also an author. After working with investors for over two decades, he shared his expertise and observations in his book Wishing Won't Do It: Financial Planning Will. The book was published in 2008 and has been used as a training guide in university classrooms.
Dave Brennan has reached a position of prominence in his home community. If you’re looking for a financial advisor in Dallas, Dave’s expertise and unique approach give clients a financial knowledgebase, sense of control, and a plan of action that will increase their likelihood of realizing their retirement dreams.
